NEW YEAR'S EVE

Last Friday 26th Dec, went to work as usual, thought i'm working half day cos saw my employer wearing casual to work today but none. Had dinner at YES Asian Cafe again.
27th Dec, Edward off for the weekends. We went to Toastbox and had our brunch. I wanted to eat bread.

Waiting for bus and we decded to open our first joint account.

After having our brunch and opening our bank account. We decided to go to Bugis to pray at the temple. I did show Edward what i really wanted to buy for him at first.
In front of the stall selling Chinese New Year stuff

After praying we come across this laughing Buddha. Everytime passed here, Edward sure ask me go touch it..
We were trying to take pic and so many people passed by and touch it. After few shots, give up already...
After in Bugis, Edward decided to go to Aljunied cos he wanted to find this place Audio House which sells cheap electrical and gadget stuff. When we reach and walk around the area we decided we can't find it and we still take the chance to go buy 4D.

Took this angry shot in Aljunied MRT
After that, we went to Esplanades trying to find a nice place to celebrate New Year's eve.
Outside of Esplanades.
The trees are actually very beautiful but too bad can't really saw it clearly.
We actually went to this shop called The Cookies Museum and it's very very nice and old fashion. Too bad can't take pic cos they don't allow it. We walk along the river area and saw alot of balloons in the river. I think people write their wishes in there. We reach the Merlion park and we did went in to few outlets to ask about the New Year's Eve dinner. We went to Forlino, an Italian family restaurant and the view is so beautiful. Guess how much the dinner cost? $250 per person. Wish i can eat and enjoy the scenery at there. Save it for another occasion... Then after some thought we decided to have our dinner at Marina Square, did search a few outlets online and finally make a reservation at a seafood cafe. Edward's working until 7 tonight, so might take sometimes to go there. Our usual New Year's Eve dinner at home usually is barbeque and just wait for the clock to strike 12. Still remember last year, i was talking to Edward but he slept early for New Year's that time and i was working and moody cos New Year's my only day off and i remember complaining to everybody about my job.
28th Dec, woke up really late today and Edward decided to go to Bishan. He wanted to bring me to Junction 8. It's so near from our house. Like maybe less than 5 bus stops. There are more things and shop than the AMK hub. Took this pic outside of the area..
He complaint about the shot, he wanted the house to fit him perfectly.
Huge high heels
While we were there, we saw this ice-cream vending machine. I'm really really keen on trying this ice cream and i saw this fat boy manage to buy it. Me and Edward did try buying it the other time in Plaza Singapura but the machine reject our money. Then we found out, they reject plastic notes. We don't have any paper notes with us so try another time again.
We went to Sticky Rice to have dinner again. This time we had Tom Yam seafood and Lemongrass Prawn which tasted so and so...

29th Dec, back to work as usual. At nite, Edward's uncle Jimmy called up and say there's a house in Bedok. Ask whether we interested or what, Edward's working, so i decided to go with Jess to view the house at 9.30. We had simple Assam Fish dinner at the food court and took a bus down. The bus ride took so long and after we reach the interchange, we took taxi to the block. The house was a dissapointment. It looks old and partial furnish. I'm sure Edward will hate it too cos the house tiles are the type he hates. So wasted our time and money to come over and we missed few buses i think cos we went and buy dessert and in search of toilet.

30th Dec, Jess 18th bithday. Me and Edward wake up extra early today to go market and buy flower for her. Well it's not her present just give it to her since she wanted a bouquet of flower. I think of this for quite sometimes already and thankfully we live very near to the market only. Edward still ask me to wake up at 6.30 to go to the market but we end up going after 7.30. At first i wanted the florist to sent the flower to her workplace then thought about it and it's too expensive.
When i get home, i have to quickly arrange the flower and everything. We got the vase earlier few weeks ago in Plaza Singapura. I bought 18 roses for her cos she's 18 today. I got her red, pink and orange roses. Actually i did bought a mood ring for her with her name on it but i accidentally throw it away with the rose leaves. I already wrap it nicely last nite, what a careless mistake...
The flower that i arrange, it's not so beautifully arrange... and i think the vase too small. We didn't get to manage to buy a cake for her and maybe she's dissapointed but we still can celebrate her birthday at a later date. We still haven't gotten her, her present yet. Hope she like it, Edwards idea to give her that...
Today New Year's Eve, time to reflect back on what happen during this year. It's been a rollercoaster ride for my life. Been really up and really really down. Life can change in just a matter of one day... You get something in a day and you will also lose something in a day. Life action and decision does not affect one person, it affect everyone around's regardless of age. Found a great job that pay's me money not to work... Always told Edward that my company pay me money to accompany him. I was paid full salary even though the office closed and i really loves those time. It started in 15th April till 1st of June. It was also this time that Edward was not working. We spend almost everyday together cos he thought he be coming to Singapore in mid June. 2 days before he was suppose to leave, he got a job, an office job again. I still remember, we were having a weird tea time meal, Nestum prawn with Corn Soup.
This year also saw me making my first step of moving out and living alone, well not really independently. Still needs help. Housework i'm terrible at that, cooking i'm bad at that. No time to learn that. I learned alot of things this year, meeting alot of people, facing new environment and faces sadness, happiness, worry, anxiety, frustration all at the same time. Life is full of up and down and i hope the coming year and road ahead will be a better journey. I still can't get over my home sickness for now. Maybe because of the festive season around. Wonder how am i going to face Chinese New Year quietly in here... Luckily Edward is here to accompany me and share my up and down and also my cranky mood. Can't help it.. No New Year resolution for 2009. Just hope everyone in the best of health back at home cos grandma was admitted to hospital the other day. New Year's also mean we are getting older. Age is just an illusion...
