RECESSION

It's Saturday 18th of Oct, Edward day off and also i need to go for my medical check up. Just went to the nearest clinic, so easier if my report is out. We walk few blocks trying to find the cheapest clinic and settle for the first clinic that i went. I got low blood pressure... and they need to take my blood to sample again. Scare me so much and it hurt. After that, no place to go we decided to go see the merlion. I wanted to see it, it's like going to China without seeing the Great Wall. Same things apply in here, come to Singapore must see the merlion. Before going there, we went to Esplanade Theatres on The Bay.

It's a library. This library really look nice but too bad can't take pic inside the library. Taken outside the entrance. I used to like to go the the library when i was younger. I can finish 3 books in a week time. Nowadays magazine is the only thing that i read.
After going to the rooftop, we wanted to walk over the bridge to see the merlion in the Merlion park. While walking out, we saw there's some kind of performance going on outside in the Outdoor Theatre. It's a cultural dance from Bali, Indonesia about some epic love story of Ramayana. Well, we down and have a sit, front row seat. The performance takes 45 minutes only and about 20 minutes we decided to leave. It's not really boring but just not into it.
Halfway on the bridge with the Esplanades Theatre behind us. That's the merlion behind us. We saw all kind of people taking pic in this bridge. Married couples, nuns, graduation students, tourists and also us.
We really took alot of shot with this merlion. All the same pose and background again.

After visiting the merlion. We wanted to go meet Jess in Far East Plaza in Orchard. She just been transfer here today. Replacing someone. We walk back to the Esplanades Theatre, saw this performance again in the lobby area. Look similar to the one we watch a moment ago.
Well this is a piece of art by a young Japanese guy. I'm not really artistic to understand the beauty of it but it certainly look complicated. Complicated like our life but still full of colours. Somebody need to explain it. There have details next to this but too lazy to read. On the way to the mrt station. We come across this huge poster. Edward ask me to take pic with it, as if we can lie to people it's the real view. It certainly look real and fake at the same time.

19th of Oct, it's Sunday. My off day again and Edward suppose to work today. He come out with i don't know what reason not to go and end up have his off day for next week for today. Went to another clinic for my x-ray. Alot of people and was rushing cos they close at 12 noon. It's just a small miniature x-ray. Hope everything's fine.

After going the clinic, no place to go suddenly Edward decided to go to the Chinese Garden which is very very far. We are having RECESSION also, so we only go to places that don't need to spend money or anything. Smart right. We need time to recover from that and it's not easy.

The garden is so big, the first thing we visited in there is this 7 Storey Pagoda. Basically it has nothing in it. We decided to climb the stairs, well Edward carry me halfway. Wasted so much energy climbing the stairs.

After that, we saw quite alot of statue of all the great Chinese figure. Taken this pic with Admiral Zheng He. I saw his documentary and there's a believe that he round the world with 600 ships with 1000 people per ship and much more earlier than Christopher Columbus. Well, approximately 70 years earlier.
This is Mulan. I only saw the cartoon before, quite nice.

There's the Twin Pagoda but it's lock, so we didn't bother walking over. It's actually noon time and it's pretty hot.
Next stop, it's The Live Turtle & Tortoise Museum. It held the Guiness World Records of the largest collection of tortoises and turtle with the figure of 3,456 which includes over 1,000 live specimens, all of which have been collected by Connie and Danny Tan and are housed in here. Jenn and Calvin would have a blast in here with so many tortoises and turtles to look at. Maybe in another 10 years time, they too will have the largest collection of that???Up close and personal with the turtle.
This is the area which all of the collection of turtle are housed. Well, entrance fee is needed in here and it cost SGD5. Well, i decided to go since it look so interesting.
This is all the live turtle in the aquarium. Not all we manage to take the pic. Some are pretty scary looking. This look cute, remind me of Squirt in Finding Nemo.
Guess this tortoises are pretty old.
This are the turtle which i use to catch in the drain when i was younger. I even saw the egg hatch again.

We walk over the bridge to see the terrapine in the pond. There are so many of them and really pity all of them. There must be really hungry. We just walk over and they thought we will give them food. You can buy the food to feed them, we didn't do that. Next time surely we will be back to buy for them. It's really bad they didn't feed them just to attract tourist. Look at all the terrapine head.
Just standing next to it, you can actually thought they will jump up.

Nearby this area, there's this cute looking small monk. You have to be pretty careful in this area cos there might be turtle walking around in the ground.

While crossing over the bridge, the turtle saw us again and swim over. Look so funny and cute...

After seeing so many turtle, we come across the fish pond. So many Koi fish. No feeding them though. By this time, it's already starting to rain.

We just walk out from watching the fish pond and it rain heavily. Stuck at the entrance.

It's still drizzling but there's still so much to see again. The Main Gate area.

We come across Confucius statue again. This is much more bigger than the statue than we taken earlier.

We actually saw alot of people came here for picnic and leisure time. It's a pretty relaxing place and free of charge.

After the Bonsai Garden, we walk till the Japanese Garden which show all of our horoscope. Saw this 2 pig really cute. The sit is still wet actually and i have no idea and wet my skirt.

The only people in my family that is born in the year of the pig is Ken and Kelsie. Just took this pic with the pig cos it looks really cute.

There's actually an Indian wedding inside here. Good idea to have it here since it look so serene. The sun came out while we finish our tour. So hot and it's almost 4 in the evening and we didn't eat the whole day. Wonder where we got our energy. Decided to sit outside the garden and rest. Edward took of his shirt to show off... No, he just feel too hot and sweaty.

I Finally Finally Got A Job

The job that i suppose to work as Account Asst cannot confirm me. Did went the office, call and all that, still no answer. So fed-up, finally yesterday they told Edward not to wait anymore. Now i have to go find job again and start all over again. So frustrated. I should retract that statement that i work the same company as Edward. Did receive few calls asking me go interview and i was a no-show. Some is just too far. Other not suited me like as a tour guide. I can't stand long travelling and i can't talk much. Today suppose to attend like 4 interviews but only did went one, not counted as i went interview as i didn't even enter the shop. It's a money changer and perfume shop in an old shopping complex. I look at the shop and the workers are all males. Walk around, window shop and decided to go home after a big round of walking alone with no direction. I've been staying at home like 3 days, feel so useless, i do nothing except lying around and feeling sleepy all the time. Bought newspaper on the way back, did call a tons of advertisers, most of them prefer Singaporeans or PR. Then i call one which is just nearby, ask me when and what time i'm free, anytime i answer. So i just drop by their place for interview and got it. It was raining and i walk in it and was half wet for interview. It just a small lighting company runs by a team of husband and wife. I'm fine working alone, i never try working with alot of people. Work time suited me well. The moment i arrive, i was quite surprise by the area, it's an industrial area and i saw alot of working men which reminded me of some old HK movie. Later when i enter the office, then i realise it's not so bad after all. It's just my first impression is not so great. I'm starting work tomorrow. Maybe god has a bigger plan for me. Everything happen for a reason.

My Wish

I hope that days come easy and moments pass slow and each road leads you where you want to go and if you're faced with a choice and you have to choose. I hope you choose the one that means the most to you and if one door opens to another door closed. I hope you keep on walkin' till you find the window, if it's cold outside, show the world the warmth of your smile, more then anything...

My wish for you is that this life becomes all that you want it. To your dreams stay big and your worries stay small. You never need to carry more then you can hold and while you're out there getting where you're getting to. I hope you know somebody loves you and wants the same things too. Yeah this is my wish.

I hope you never look back but cha never forget all the ones who love you in the place you left. I hope you always forgive and you never regret and you help somebody every chance you get. Oh, you find God's grace in every mistake and you always give more then you take.

I finally got a job

Finally i got a job. Actually went to a few interview and got few job but this suited me the most. My first interview was to be a Shop Retail Assistant for a clothing store. Was interview by the owner and he is also the designer of the clothing for the store. The salary and weekly working day is ok just that feel my qualification and experience is wasted if i took this job. The second interview i suppose to attend is a fish therapy centre. Went all the way to find this therapy centre until we got lost and gave up. Wasted time and money and have to take cab back to town.

On the 7th of Oct which is Tuesday, i have an interview again. Went to this place which is quite far and end up did not attend the interview cos the working place is in an old shopping centre which is deserted and alot of empty lots. The place is very scary looking. Edward and Jess keep on laughing and reminded me why i always found job in those weird places. We bought a map for our convenience and the night before i saw on the map there's a crocodile farm around. We just walk up and try to find it and saw it's behind an old house selling cars. It's a small crocodile farm, i think most people also won't know the place or it's existence.

We walk into this place and keep thinking how much is the entrance fee, it's free actually and the signboard did mention something like Beware or Walk At Your Own Risk. We walk in then we realise the crocodile it's actually at the side only. It's like in the drain between the houses. We did not purposely go all the way to visit this Crocodile Farm... Look at all the croc... There's quite alot of different type of croc at the side and back of the house. The back of the house, the croc are more big in size again.
The croc seldom move and inside the office is actually a souvenir centre for the croc skin. They selling all the leather bags, wallet and keychain. After the interview that i suppose to went, we went to China Town area again. I have another interview again in that area. I thought all the way that i'm suppose to go to this Spa and Beauty centre. We keep on walking and finding and we come across this shop selling sundry and cutlery items. Edward told me next time if we have a place of our own we can come here and buy things, it's cheap. We keep on finding and i decided to call again. Guess what, the shop that sell the sundry and cutlery items is the shop that i suppose to go interview. Haha, i did not go cos the shop was a mayhem. Full of customer and tight. Edward told me, i should see how the owner scold the worker during busy time. Another weird and funny job i found...

We went to this shop to have herbal drinks around that area and look for more job. In China Town area at the Bridge area...Just walk around and see things until we did reach an Indian Quil. Did not go in as camera need to pay money.

The next day 8th of Oct, woke up early to bring Jess interview. Waited for her outside at the roadside. Hopefully she got the job. I got another interview later again, it's in a clinic. No idea what clinic is it until i went and it's dealing with those hyper active kid and those sociology stuff. It's run by a husband and wife team, told me that my qualification and experience is not suitable for them. Fun pic...

9th of Sept, got 2 interview to attend today. First went to Edward company office to take something. One thing come to one thing, he ask the lady whether there is any vacancy in the office, they say yes and i fill up form and went to interview. Everything went up well. My interview that i suppose to attend is at 11am and i was late for like 2 hours. I did not want to go already cos i was late and i thought punctuality is important. Edward persuaded me to attend so i just go. It's in another old shophouse and deserted area. I went interview and they want to sign me up straight away. Of cos, i won't do that so fast. It's a telemarketing job and it's not the job that i went for the interview. Told the guy that i need to consider first and did not went back. As for the another interview, i did not go cos Edward call up his sis and he mention it's a job for agent. All they do is give us a directory and we suppose to call up people and set up appointment.

10th of Sept, another interview to attend again. This went well, it's a big company dealing and supplying automobile spare parts. The area is quite far and also in housing area. The people is willing to hire but will get back to me before 6pm. In the mean time, i got the job in Edward office also as Account Assistant and they ask me to go after this. I decided to take this job as i know the location and the working environment. As for the other job, the people is willing to hire and did call me up but i already make up my mind. Finally found a job, now can think of the next step... One funny thing, Singapore is a big place, i wonder how i can end up working in the same company as him....
